One of my favorite high protein ingredients, cottage cheese! Today, we’re going to make 5 Quick Cottage Cheese Recipes that’ll hopefully help persuade you to give this ingredient another try. These healthy recipes are easy to make, macro friendly, and packed with flavor.

Hate the taste or look of cottage cheese? Don’t be! When added to other flavorful ingredients and mixed together you can’t taste it at all and it doesn’t look like cottage cheese. Some of my favorite things about cottage cheese?

  • It’s cheap, around .02 cents per gram of protein
  • It’s slow digesting since it has casein protein in it which will keep you full longer
  • It goes great in both no bake and baked recipes

Recipes

All you need for these quick cottage cheese recipes is a bowl and something to mix them with.

PBS

If you like peanut butter then you’re going to love this one! Loaded with sweet tooth killing flavor and prepped in just minutes.

Add into your bowl 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese, 1 scoop of your choice flavor protein powder, 1-2 packets of your choice sweetener, and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter.

Make sure to choose a good tasting flavor protein powder as it’ll be the main flavor of your PBS recipe.

Mix all of those ingredients together until smooth.

You can it this as is or throw it in the freezer for a bit and it’ll taste even better!

Salsa

Not the prettiest recipe in the world but one of my favorite cottage cheese recipes ever! Did I mention you only need 2 ingredients to make it!?

Add into your bowl 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese and 6 tablespoons of your choice salsa.

Mix those together until your salsa is fully incorporated.

As a rule of thumb for this one for every 1/2 cup of cottage cheese you’ll need 6 tablespoons of salsa. You can also easily switch up the taste or heat by using a different salsas.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, this recipe is as delicious as it is quick!

Cinnamon Sweet

Sweet like cinnamon is now more than a song lyric, it’s your new favorite cottage cheese dessert recipe!

Add into your bowl 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese, your choice amount of ground cinnamon (I like 1/2 teaspoon), and 1-2 packets of your choice sweetener.

Mix those ingredients together thoroughly.

Make sure not to add too much cinnamon as it can quickly overpower the recipe.

The fridge or freezer for 10-20 minutes will give this one an ice cream feel!

Jello

Make use of those extra pudding packets in your cupboard while helping to beat your unhealthy cravings on your diet!

Add into your bowl 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese, 1/2 packet of your choice flavor fat free sugar free instant pudding, and 1-2 packets of your choice sweetener.

Mix those together until your pudding has thickened up.

The flavor you choose for your instant pudding will ultimately be the flavor of the recipe.

Want it to thicken up even more? Put it in fridge or freezer for a bit.

Sir Tuna

Another recipe where you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover! This one is packed with protein and just enough kick to leave you satisfied.

Add into your bowl 1/2 cup of fat free cottage cheese, 1-2 teaspoons of some chili sauce (more if you want it more spicy), and 1 can of a drained tuna.

If you don’t like chili sauce you could also replace it with salsa in this recipe for a salsa tuna!

Mix all of those together until your tuna is broken up.

Pro tip? You can switch all of these cottage cheese recipes up by thinking outside the box! Add in fresh fruit or vegetables, nuts, spices, seasonings, and so on. Let us know some of your favorite combinations in the comments below.
